SUMMARY:Interfaith Atomic Bomb Memorial Service
DESCRIPTION:Sunday\, August 3\, 2025. We invite you to volunteer to help us host this important event. Contact info@seahiro.org \nThe Seattle Hiroshima Club is sponsoring the Atomic Bomb Victims Memorial Service which will be held on August 3\, 2025 at the Seattle Betsuin Buddhist Temple gymnasium. The doors open at 9:00am; photos of the destruction at both Hiroshima and Nagasaki will be shown from 9:30 to 10:00am\, and the service will begin at 10:00am. Beginning this year\, we will make the memorial service an interdenominational service and invite other organizations to participate in the service in our commitment to advocating for peace and abolishing atomic weapons. \nPlease note: There is limited space and we would like to allow those families affected by the atomic bomb to be able to attend in person. The club will provide hamburgers (and condiments)\, hot dogs\, watermelon and water; please bring a side dish to share. For those that do not eat beef hamburgers\, there will be some non-meat hamburgers. \nThere will be games\, bingo and prizes for all and time to chat old friends and new friends. \nOpen to SHC members\, family\, and friends.
