Scholarships
To encourage and support the academic pursuits of the future generations , the club initiated a scholarship program in 1964 to recognize outstanding high school graduates. The original intent, as it is today, is to help the children of active and contributing members pursue higher education. As of Jan. 2020, there have been 167 scholarship recipients since 1964.
The monetary awards allocated for the scholarships are generated by the dividends and interests earned from invested funds. What began as a $75 scholarship award per graduate, has now grown to a $3,000 award for each of three deserving recipients.
