Governance

The Board of Directors is made up of 15 to 30 Directors, elected at the January general meeting on even years, and serve a two-year term.

The Officers of the Seattle Hiroshima Club (also known as the Cabinet) are President, 1st Vice President, 2nd Vice President, English Recording Secretary, Japanese Recording Secretary, Corresponding Secretary, Treasurer and two auditors. Officers are elected at the Board of Directors meeting held in February of even numbered years.

Four Standing Committees exist for the benefit of the club.

Scholarship Committee – to encourage the academic studies of the future generations of high school graduates.

Investment Committee – to manage the financial investments of the Club

New Year Party Committee – to plan and carry out the Annual New Year’s Party

Membership Committee – to promote and manage the Club’s membership roster

Ad Hoc Committees may be formed as deemed necessary by the Board of Directors.
