Densho, a nonprofit based in Seattle WA, utilizes digital technology to document testimonies of Japanese Americans who were unjustly incarcerated during World War II and preserving these stories for future generations.
HIROSHIMA FOR GLOBAL PEACE
Rising above from the devastation of the atomic bomb during World War II, Hiroshima for Global Peace fosters initiatives in achieving worldwide peace without nuclear weapons.
HIROSHIMA PEACE MEMORIAL PARK
The memorial park serves to honor victims in the world’s first nuclear attack during World War II. Within the park is the A-Bomb Dome, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and children’s peace monument. The Peace Memorial Museum contains the city’s history, actual artifacts, photos, testimonies and videos documenting the affects of the atomic bomb including the dangers of nuclear weapons.

Based in Los Angeles, California the museum’s mission is to promote understanding and appreciation of America’s ethnic and cultural diversity by sharing the Japanese American experience..
JAPANESE CULTURAL AND COMMUNITY CENTER OF WASHINGTON (JCCCW)
As part of a national chapter, the JACL’s mission is to secure and maintain the civil rights of Japanese Americans and others who are victimized by injustice while promoting cultural, education and social values and preserving the heritage of the Japanese American community.
Library of Congress
The largest library in the world containing millions of books, films, video and audio recordings, photographs, newspapers, maps and manuscripts.
NAGASAKI ATOMIC BOMB MUSEUM
Located in Hirano-machi, Nagasaki City, the museum is a remembrance to the atomic bombing of Nagasaki during World War II. The museum has a library, peace study room, video room, bookshop, tearoom and offers special exhibits in addition to its permanent exhibition room.
National Archives
The nation’s record keeper of such things as the Declaration of Independence, Bill of Rights, Constitution, public citizen records, maps, charts, photographs, video and sound recordings. Records for Japanese-Americans can be found here and Immigration here.
NISEI VETERANS COMMITTEE FOUNDATION (NVCF)
The NVC Foundation, a nonprofit organization based in Seattle, supports the Nisei Veterans Committee (NVC). The foundation’s mission statement is to preserve and honor the Japanese American legacies and to provide community programs that meet the educational, cultural and social needs of the broader community.
SEATTLE BETSUIN BUDDHIST TEMPLE
Located in the central district of Seattle, the Temple held its first service in 1901 and offers many programs including English classes, kids’ summer programs, bon odori festival, health clinics and crafts.
